Hi, my name is Gil Duarte. Almost immediately you'll
realize I'm barely computer literate! In fact, I'd say I'm computer stupid! Anyway, if you're
expecting a blog or a shopping cart or item retrival or any of the other niceties found at most other retail sites, then you'd
better stop here and go surfing elsewhere. Part of my ignorance, of course, is due to my advanced years, but I
guess most of it is due to a certain reticence at having to come into line, or should I say online. In any event, I
ask that you be patient with me. I've been in the record business in one way or another for the past 30 years.
For 12 of those years I owned and operated a Specialty Record Shop. My area of expertise was and is THE BLUES, but I
also stocked R&B and Jazz. Rather than have to deal with the impending and drastic changes taking place in the Record
Industry, I chose to close down my store. It seems I got out just in time. Just in the last 5 years record shops
have become dinosaurs. Over the years I accumulated all types of recorded music. All the stock in the
store was mine outright, so instead of having a "Going-out-of-business Sale," I put everything into storage.
What I've listed so far and what I'll be listing is precisely that stock. Yet to come are: more LP's,
Blues Magazines, Blues Posters, 8x10 black & white photos of Blues Artists and, of course, some rarities and collector's
items. REMEMBER, ALL ITEMS LISTED ARE SET SALE ITEMS. Good Luck and Happy Hunting!!!
